Børnehjælpsdagen has raised funds for vulnerable children in Denmark since 1904. The poster from 1957 marks the organisation's major nationwide fundraising day on 8 May - a tradition that mobilised volunteers and schoolchildren throughout the country. The motif of the happy family with children is drawn in the colourful poster tradition of the period and communicates the message simply and directly.
