Fanø Motor Races were one of the major events in the early history of Danish motorsport. The races took place on the island's broad sandy beach, which served as a natural race track - a dramatic setting for the machines of the period under the open sky, with the sea as a backdrop. The first race was held in 1919, and Fanø quickly attracted international participants. The poster shows two racing cars side by side on the beach, framed by the starting flag and the blue sea beyond.
