Danish advertising poster by Sven Henriksen. Henriksen's poster featuring Stjernemanden is a strong example of the cooperative advertising culture of the 1930s - the idealised young worker in stylish contemporary clothing regards his glass of foaming Stjerne Øl. During the 1930s, the poster appeared throughout larger Danish cities as both a poster and enamel sign, and the motif was painted on building façades. For many years it was synonymous with the workers' cooperative brewery Stjernen.
