An advertising poster from the 1930s for Bellevue Strand north of Aarhus - a bathing complex that included a restaurant, open-air baths, changing cabins and a campsite at Vejlby Strand and Riisskov. The functionalist concrete facility was designed by Arne Jakobsen and opened in 1933, modelled on the well-known Bellevue at Klampenborg. The complex was enormous, with changing facilities for 5,000 guests, but the saline water took a heavy toll on the concrete and the facility was demolished in 1966.
We produce every poster on demand to avoid unnecessary overproduction and waste.
