Valdemar Andersen (1875-1928) was one of the major names in Danish poster art in the early 20th century. With a background in Art Nouveau aesthetics, he created numerous advertising and exhibition posters, and his collaboration with Politiken lasted for many years. This poster from 1908 shows a woman in a green dress absorbed in the newspaper's columns - a classic motif from the advertising graphics of the period, in which female figures were used to give the product an elegant, aspirational aura.
We produce every poster on demand to avoid unnecessary overproduction and waste.
