This poster from 1948 was created just two years after Bornholm returned to full Danish sovereignty. The island was occupied by German forces throughout the Second World War and then for almost a year by Soviet soldiers, before they left the island in April 1946. The poster shows Bornholm's coastline with its characteristic lighthouse and captures the island at a time when it was returning to its role as a Danish summer destination - with sand, sunshine and the clear Baltic light.
We produce every poster on demand to avoid unnecessary overproduction and waste.
For US orders, fulfillment is handled through our print partner workflow. Paper specification can vary by format and production location, while every file is prepared for high-quality art printing.
